Noticeboard

NHS70

The National Health Service is turning 70 on 5 July 2018. It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of one of the nation’s most loved institutions, to appreciate the vital role the service plays in our lives, and to recognise and thank the extraordinary NHS staff – the everyday heroes – who are there to guide, support and care for us, day in, day out.

Ordering Prescriptions

Your doctor may allow you to have a number of repeat prescriptions without seeing them.  However, a review of medication will be necessary from time to time.  You will be asked to make an appointment to see the doctor or nurse at this time.

Requests for repeat prescriptions should NOW be made 48 hours before you need them (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays); this includes both non-dispensing and dispensing patients.

You can collect prescriptions/medication 48 hours after your request (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays), unless extenuating circumstances arise which prevent us from completing requests within 2 working days.

Requests can be made by telephone to the Dispenser (01949 845945) or in writing (by ticking the item(s) on the computer slip attached to your previous prescription).

There is a dispenser available from 8.30am to 12.30pm and 2.00pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

We now offer an online request service for repeat prescriptions.  Please enquire with our Receptionist for further details.  Practice policy remians the same (see paragraph 2 and 3 above).

Dispensing Patients

We are normally allowed to dispense medication to patients who live more than one mile (as the crow flies) from a pharmacy.  If you are exempt from prescription charges for any reason, you may be asked to show proof of exemption when collecting your medication.

Any queries regarding prescriptions or medication, please telephone the Dispensary on 01949 845945.

Please allow  48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed.
