Why do we encourage anyone who has access to a computer, tablet or smart phone to submit their request online?

  •  Submitting a request online allows GPs and ANPs to respond to patients digitally which is often much more convenient for the patient. Most issues can be managed without a need to visit the surgery.
  •  Like all GP practices our telephones are often busy and submitting a request online will save the patient time as there is no waiting for our team of call handlers to get round to your call.
  •  submitting a request online allows a patient to include more detail about their issue including photos and documents which could be useful to the practitioner who is dealing with the request.
  •  submitting a request online keeps our telephones lines free for patients who genuinely do not have online access or require other services not managed through askmyGP such as nurse appointments.

COVID-19 Update

Please note with the current covid-19 pandemic still at the forefront only patients with an appointment will be able to enter our surgeries.

Some patients are still being asked to wait outside until the clinician calls them in so please ensure you come prepared for inclement weather. In line with government guidelines we are also asking all patients attending the surgery for a face to face appointment to wear a suitable face covering. If you or anyone in your household have any symptoms of Covid-19 please do not attend the surgery until your isolation period is over and call us to reschedule your appointment.

COVID-19 Vaccination Update

We are conscious that many of you will be anxious and keen to be vaccinated as quickly as possible but PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SURGERY asking when you will be offered an appointment.

We are working together with other local practices across the Grantham and Sleaford area to deliver the vaccination campaign, and we are very much limited by vaccine supply from central NHS resources.  At the moment we have also been asked to prioritise patients and staff in residential nursing and care homes, those aged over 80 years old that are mobile and frontline healthcare workers.  We are working through these groups of patients as and when stock of the vaccine becomes available.  Please be assured that as soon as we are able to offer vaccinations to your eligible cohort (see below), you will be offered an opportunity to take up an appointment.  In the meantime, please ensure that you follow the latest government guidance found at www.gov.uk/coronavirus

The order of priority for each group in the population is as follows:
- residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
- all those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
- all those 75 years of age and over
- all those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
- all those 65 years of age and over
- all individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
- all those 60 years of age and over
- all those 55 years of age and over
- all those 50 years of age and over

The full guidance regarding priority groups can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/priority-groups-for-coronavirus-covid-19-vaccination-advice-from-the-jcvi-30-december-2020/joint-committee-on-vaccination-and-immunisation-advice-on-priority-groups-for-covid-19-vaccination-30-december-2020

We are unable to confirm at this stage the timings of when each group will be invited as this is dictated by NHS England and the supply of vaccine. However, please be reassured that once we are able to invite your age group you will be notified.  Thank you for your understanding.
