Repeat prescriptions are recorded on our clinical system and can be re-ordered as required. We do request that we are given a minimum of two full working days notice when ordering repeat prescriptions so that medication can be safely dispensed. In accordance with NHS guidance repeat prescriptions are, in general, issued as a one month supply only. Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in the following ways:
- Phoning the Practice, selecting option 2 and leaving a message via the voice mail service.
- Ticking the medication you require on the repeat medication list which you get each time you order medication, and leaving this in the dedicated red prescriptions box located at each site.
- Ordering online. To do this you will require a username and password. The administrative team will be pleased to help you set this up if you liaise with them.
- Ordering via AskmyGP. To do this log in to your askmyGP account and submit your request as a medication query. You will need to state the exact name and quantity of the prescription you are requesting.
If you are ordering by telephone, you must call during working hours.
For urgent prescriptions, please contact the Practice during our opening hours and we will endeavour to arrange these for you. If you require urgent medication or have a query outside of our opening hours, please contact NHS 111.

Patients on repeat medication may be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner, practice nurse or clinical pharmacist at least once a year to review their regular medications. A notification when this is due should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
